It’s a part of human nature to avoid risk and owning your own home can give people a sense of security, especially for people with family. It’s no matter for a bachelor to be kicked out of the apartment, because his cost of change apartment is pretty low. But for a family, the opposite is true. Due to their quite high cost of moving house, it’s impossible for a family who rent a apartment not to worry about whether the landlord will continue to rent the house to them after the contract expires.

At last, in the aspect of realistic, in some countries such like China, it’s necessary for a couple who want to get married to possess their own house, since if they don’t own a property in the local area, they and their children will not be allowed to get a local hukou, which means this family will be greatly limited in local service of social security.

To sum up, the reasons why this phenomenon takes place mainly are demand based on realistic and mental. it’s a natural development in specific situation, therefore it’s impossible for me to arbitrarily judge whether it’s positive or negative.
