Given a diagram illustrating the process of producing sugar from sugar cane, which consists of 4 stage consisting of 7 step of different time of planting, harvesting, crushing, purifying, evaporating, separating and finally drying.

More specifically, the whole process begin with planting, the longest step in the whole process, which usually consumes 12 to 18 months to wait sugar cane for maturing. Once it matures, it’s time to harvest. There are two methods of harvesting, one is mechanized harvesting, which is mainly used large-scale production, and the other is manual harvesting, which is mainly used for small-scale production.

After harvesting, the next step is to crush sugar cane to make juice.

Afterwards, the juice then goes through a series of separation steps. Firstly, the juice must be purified in the limestone filter to remove the impurities. After this, purified juice will be pour into the evaporator to remove its water by heat the evaporator, which turn the juice into syrup. Then the whole separation stage will be finished, once centrifuge separates sugar crystals from syrup.

At last, after dring and cooling the syrup, we get sugar which can be sold to consumers.
